Q: Do I have to be a member of the Drama
Society to take part in shows?
A: Yes. The Students' Union requires it, because you are not insured without
being a member. Plus membership provides you with a reduction to any show
you come to see (if your not in it that is)
Q: How do I join?
A: You need to go to the Students' Union office -- on the corridor between
the Font and the Medical Centre. Ask for a Societies joining form. It will
cost £10 to join (or £5 if you have already joined another society). You
will also need to take along a photo for your membership card.
Q: Why do I need to join?
A: Joining gives the Society money to spend on beer the productions
throughout the year. But more importantly it means that you will be covered
by the Students' Union Insurance policy, in case anything nasty should
happen.
Q: When do you meet?
A: The committee meets regularly, normally on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This is usually in conjunction with other society activities where anyone is welcome to come along. For more details check the message board or contact the committee.
Q: I've got this fantastic idea for a play/
musical/ short film, can we do it?
A: The answer is most defiantly... maybe. Bring it along and submit it to
the committee either by email or at a
meeting. They will then read it, bat it around amongst themselves, spill tea
on it and give you an answer. Please be aware we only have so many man hours
and no way to make the whole cast fly...
more coming soon...
